HAPPY 25TH BIRTHDAY TO ME!

  • Up at 10 am. Responded to some birthday messages in bed.
  • Read and hung out downstairs. Showered and freshened up.
  • Left for Bozeman at 12:15.
  • Bacchus Pub for lunch – free birthday shot with the waitress! We split Irish cheese puffs and really good wings. I got French onion soup and a grilled cheese sandwich. Alex got a reuben (classic Alex).
  • CHOCOLATE! Walked to some candy store for birthday chocolate (classic me). Now the birthday was official. We walked around downtown, which was really pretty and relaxed.
  • American Computer and Robotics Museum – a free non-profit museum that was small but extremely comprehensive. What a gem to find in Bozeman, Montana.
  • Drove through MSU – super pretty!
  • Alex’s birthday surprise for me…MONTANA GRIZZLY ENCOUNTER!! We got to see rescued bears up close in a cute habitat. The first bear we saw was also named Jake. Good karma!
  • Relaxed at home for about 2 hours. This was probably the most relaxing birthday I’ve ever had. Perfect.
  • Chico hot springs @ 7 – Uncle Robbie treated us to a soak in a hot springs pool in the middle of a resort hotel. The first pool was over 104 degrees, and the “cool down” pool was about 94 degrees. What a relaxing treat for my birthday!
  • The Dining Room at Chico Hot Springs for dinner. I got a DELICIOUS salmon, while Robbie got a steak and Alex got lamb. We each had a celebratory drink and split a huge slice of mud pie cake for dessert.
  • Got back home and uncle Robbie played ping pong in the top floor of his barn. What a super cool set up! The table was right in the middle, surrounded by very little which made it seem really intense. He’s really good and we were very well-matched. However, I beat him 2 games to 1, including a neck-to-neck game where he beat me by only 2 points.
  • In bed around midnight, ready for the early drive the next day.
  • A huge and special thank you to Alex and Robbie for making my birthday to extra wonderful. And a massive thank you to all my friends and family for making me feel so loved on my 25th!
