Stuck in traffic due to a local marathon.

Drove to Lynchburg, TN to the Jack Daniel’s distillery.

Farms, land, not much.

Gas for $1.94.

Jack Daniel’s at 1:20 pm. Very crowded, had to get last tour at 4 pm.

Walked across the bridge to Historic Lynchburg. Walked around and looked at all the shops.

Bar-b-que Caboose – Pulled pork for lunch. Decent, especially compared to recent BBQ.

Alex went shopping, I sat in a rocking chair and called my parents.

Made a friend named Kevin – a Vietnam War vet who unfortunately has 3 types of cancer. We talked baseball and traveling. He’s family friends with Bobby Richardson, former 2nd baseman for the Yankees who was on the championship teams in the late 50’s and early 60’s. A very kind soul and positive connection.

Tour at 4 pm. Saw nearly the entire facility to explore the whiskey making process. One of the best guided tours I’ve ever been on, and for only $10. Mike, an older retired gentleman from southern Indiana with a thick accent, was the absolute best. We ended by sampling 4 different Jack whiskeys, unique considering Lynchburg is a dry county. Absolutely worth the wait and price. Highly recommended.

Left for Nashville around 6.

Went to some bar for a casual drink, along with Emily’s bf Seth. Great people.

Five Points Pizza for “NY Style” pizza. Actually quite yummy.

Cigar bar to see Emily’s friends. Too much smoke, no thank you.

Back to Emily’s house to hang out with the Wolfepax (Emily’s group of friends). Chris, Abby, Katie, Josh, John. All great people.  Went to bed around 2:30 am. Way late. Slept on a large chair. Not the best, oh well.
