8:00 am – Alex woke up and heard the Chicago marathon from outside Cohner’s apartment.

11:00 am – I woke up, fresh as a daisy. I had been feeling sick recently, so the extra sleep helped a lot. We showered and relaxed and packed our stuff up.

1:00 pm – Got to Emily Kelin’s apartment in the Andersonville neighborhood, north of where Cohner lives. Emily’s best friend from home, Julia, was also visiting. Alex and I had heard tons about Julia over the years, and vice versa, so it was great to finally all put faces to the names. Special shout out to Emily for being the only one of our friends to read all of our blog! She’s the best Team Handsome groupie in the world, and a pretty awesome person without that exclusive title too.

1:30 pm –Lunch at Hamburger Mary’s – they all got burgers, I got a chipotle chicken wrap. SO GOOD! And our check came in a red high-heel shoe. So quirky!

2:30 pm – Walked to Foster Beach overlooking Lake Michigan. Sat there and hung out for about an hour because it was such a beautiful day.

4:30 pm – Back to Emily’s apartment to hang out before dinner.

6:30 pm – Emily and Julia left to get dinner with Emily’s college roommate. Bye!

6:45 pm – Alex and I left to get dinner with Tara and Cohner at Pequod’s pizza.

7:15 pm – Got to Pequod’s. Because Cohner is a pro, he called us when we were heading over to place an order to it was ready when we got there. Deep dish (of course) with pepperoni all around, half had mushrooms and onions, the other spinach and light jalapenos. Well done, Cohner.

8:45 pm – Josh Avery, Alex’s former camper who goes to Northwestern, met us at Pequod’s! We hadn’t seen him since 2012. Such a good kid.

9:00 pm – Walked next door to the Drinking Bird to meet up with Emily and Julia for drinks. Cohner and Tara left shortly after we arrived, and Alex Hyman and her friend Andrea got there just after the other 2 left. Alex had just completed the Chicago marathon that morning, so we had lots to celebrate aside from the Wekeela reunion in Chicago!

12:15 am – Got back to Emily’s apartment.

1:00 am – Adam Lelchuk arrived because he missed his connecting flight from Chicago to Rochester, NY (stupid Southwest airlines). By the way – that was a storyline that had been happening since earlier in the day. The bros went out to hang out for a while and got back at really-late-in-the-morning-o’clock, while the rest of us were in bed around 1:30 am.
