DAY 32 – SATURDAY 9/26/15 – LOS ANGELES, CA

September 26, 2015 Road Trip 2015  No comments

We slept in until around 10 am today. We got ready and left around 10:45 am to meet up with Bryant Fox at the Black Cat in Silver Lake for brunch. Seeing B-Fox was great, as always. He managed to fit us in between his busy work and gigging schedule, and I was concerned that we wouldn’t have been able to see him. We had a blast with B Butters, messing around with the waitress (who Bryant is in love with – sorry bro) and cracking jokes like bros do. The Butter Man had work around 12:30, so after finishing up our delicious breakfasts we made moves elsewhere.

We planned to host a BBQ at Timmy’s later that day, so we ran some errands around town. We picked up food, drinks, the board game Wit and Wagers, and a few other necessities over a few different pitstops. We were back at Timmy’s around 3, where we hung out the rest of the day. We needed a chill day after traveling so much and constantly being on the go. We did more work on our road trip, napped, played a ton of video games (Sonic racing and TMNT). Rosie, Timmy’s girlfriend, and her daughter, Madison, got back to the house around 5:30. They were both at camp in 2009 (when Madison was 7) so it was great to see them now and catch up.

Jena and Matt were the only ones who committed to coming over, so we waited to cook until 9 pm because they came over around 9:30. We had 2 types of chicken in different marinades, 2 types of sausages, chips, potato salad, and other refreshments. This was our 2nd home-cooked meal of our trip and it felt good to eat family style. After dinner we played Wit and Wagers, which was an adventure. Madison did a great job of explaining the rules and holding us accountable. I think she ended up winning.

The party wound down around midnight. Matt and Jena left to go back to theirs, we all stayed up for another 30-45 minutes and made awesome smores using different chocolate bases (Reeses cups, kit-kat, etc) which were incredible, and made plans for the next day before heading to bed. Today was a relatively uneventful day but a much needed one to regain energy.
